The Mutton Snapper

Mutton SnapperSize: The Mutton Snapper is usually in the range of 5 to 15 pounds.

About: The mutton snapper is usually found closer to shore, feeding off of crustaceans and snails. It prefers grassbeds and mangroves. Larger Mutton Snappers may be found offshore in coral reefs or shipwrecks.

 

The Red Grouper

Red GrouperSize: Another smaller variety of fish, the red grouper ranges around 3 to 5 pounds, but may grow up to 30-40 pounds.

About: The red grouper is best fished in the Winter and Spring. It can be found in shallow or deep sea. This is another good fish to eat or to increase your experience before catching your next trophy fish.
